Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers

by Jesse Q. Sutanto

A cosy, laugh-out-loud mystery with the most gloriously nosy detective I've ever met.

Vera Wong is a lonely sixty-year-old widow who runs a quiet tea shop in San Francisco's Chinatown. When she comes downstairs one morning to find a dead man on the floor, she decides the police clearly need her help and sets about solving the case herself.

What follows is part murder mystery, part found-family story. Vera questions her suspects over tea and home-cooked food, meddles shamelessly in their lives, and slowly becomes the mother figure none of them knew they needed.

It is funny, warm and full of heart: the perfect book for a rainy evening with a pot of tea.
